Hours and Hours of Hard Labor

Days and nights and weeks of colic;
Months and months of diapers and spit up;
Hours and hours of tantrums;
Runny noses, muddy shoes, slimy critters captured in pockets.

Music lessons, swimming lessons, trips to the library, long discussions;
Mostly A's, framed awards, praise from teachers;
Dungeons and Dragons, rocket ships, bicycle trips;
First job, first car, first girlfriend.

Off to college, too fast into adulthood;
Suddenly out of my life, out of my sight;
Still in touch, still call (but not enough);
My children, my greatest accomplishment.

Happy Mother's Day, everyone!

And they have turned out so well! Are those lovely roses yours? They are so pretty! Yes, Happy Mother's Day to all of us.

Happy Mother's Day to you. Yes, the kids turned out fine. Your poem described the experience so well. Thanks. I'm sure that Ryan would love to share it on his site. SharingPoetry.com

Ohhhh....good idea Kath! Did the registration part of that site get fixed yet? Roy has not heard from Ryan.
